The teacher does not teach in the role play; he acts as the developer’s client. He does not correct the student’s mistakes. He saves his critique for the Feedback Session.

After the role play, the student watches their recording and writes a summary email. In the Feedback Session, the teacher and student discuss the problems encountered in the role play and how to be more effective.

Speaking of Code students:

  • Gain confidence participating in meetings
  • Learn to discuss technologies that they are familiar with
  • Improve their ability to communicate cross-culturally with verbal and non-verbal communication and small talk
  • Write meeting follow-up emails for successful all-around communication
